In order to try out new things for knowledge and technology transfer and to support current developments in the field of transfer, the Technology Transfer and Innovation department is involved as a project partner in several funded projects.
TTO-Alumni
Establishment and testing of alumni networks for evaluation and exploitation processes in science-related technology transfer.
- Goal: Development and testing of processes for the systematic integration of business alumni in the day-to-day work of the science-related technology transfer offices (TTOs)
- Project partner: Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)

BePerfekt
Development of an instrument for empowering people and teams in transfer structures.
- Goal: The aim is to be able to tap the existing transfer potential in the scientific institutions as best as possible by developing further training formats and testing them on a pilot basis, as well as developing additional support options for transfer managers.
- Project coordinator: Potsdam Institut für Klimafolgenforschung (PIK), further project partner: Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT)

ECO II
Methods and instruments for initiating research cooperation and for validating open and cross-innovation projects for non-university research institutions.
- Goal: The research project ECO researched the effective approach for the development of a technology transfer ecosystem with the involvement of public and private actors in the exemplary region of Saxony. In the continuation, ECO II aims to develop further transfer instruments for individual problems identified in ECO or to further develop prototypically implemented ones.
- Project partner: Research group "Hightech-Startbahn" at the TU Dresden (execution) and Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW)

InnovationsWerkstatt Dresden - Joint project: Strengthening the cooperation of basic science institutions with small and medium-sized companies
- The aim of the project is to give SMEs more intensive access to the R&D results and know-how, the existing research infrastructure, the specialist staff and the expertise in assessing new markets for basic research institutions and universities.
